HISTORY

The first market took take place on the 4th July 2009 as part of the Jewellery Quarter Festival. The Market was officially opened by local councillor Kath Hartley, and will provide supply of fresh local produce to the communities of Ladywood. It was a lovely sunny day, with lots of visitor to the Jewellery Quarter attending the market.  There were 24 stalls who took part on the first market day! There is a video of the market and photos that show what a great day it was!

The Jewellery Quarter is an unique area in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.  It is a conservation area, home to over 400 jewellery businesses, specialist wedding retailers, fine restaurants, bars and galleries.  As such it is a thriving commercial centre attracting shoppers from the Birmingham area and beyond.
